We are pleased to offer a breakthrough technology that is on of the most popular cosmetic treatment in years. IPL Photo Rejuvenation (IPL) is an intense pulsed light treatment for face, neck and/or chest. IPL is the most effective treatment for redness and flushing of the skin and will rejuvenate the look and feel of skin by reducing fine wrinkles, pore size, roughness and fade age spots.

Why is IPL so exciting?
Medical lasers deliver a specific band of light that will generally treat one skin problem. Dr. Shah & Associates Lumines One IPL Photo Rejuvenation Systems deliver a broad band of pulsed light, so they are an alternative to plastic surgery or chemical peels and it has no downtime! Following a treatment, most patients can go back to their usual activities and can immediately apply make-up. IPL is a safe, non-invasive solution that can be customized to your individual needs and will provide superior cosmetic results and high levels of satisfaction. After only the first treatment, skin feels smoother and appears more even toned.

How many and how often?
A series of at least 5 treatments is needed to obtain the best results. Some patients may benefit from more treatments depending on the severity of the condition treated. Treatments are given 3-6 weeks apart. Based on the high level of demand for this procedure, many offices are offering inappropriate subsitutes. Don’t be fooled by other practices that give only a single “pass” with the machine or only treat “part” of the face with a machine that is not a true IPL machine.

Am I a candidate?
IPL treats facial concerns such as sun-damaged skin, abnormal pigmentation (melasma and hyperpigmentation), irregular pigmentation, age spots, freckling, enlarged pores, rosacea, small facial veins, roughness and fine wrinkles, birth marks and other facial blemishes.

If your appearance is marred by facial redness or signs of aging, or if you would like to maintain a youthful, healthy appearance then IPL is for you. Contact our office for a consultation to see if we can help you with the latest technology and no downtime!
