Happy New Year!
We're starting off the New Year with a bang. I'm delighted to announce
the opening of the Bakersfield Wellness Center on January 16.
This new 10,000-sq- ft. building will house a gamut of cosmetic services,
from plastic surgery to skin rejuvenation and holistic wellness. In
February we'll be hosting a Grand Opening party that will be the talk
of the town. I hope I'll see you there. The date and time will be
announced in our next newsletter.
The Bakersfield Wellness Center folds together all of the offerings
from our beloved Shaanti Medi Spa with the surgical skills and technical
expertise of Shah & Associates. It's all presented in a luxurious
new environment designed to relax and rejuvenate.
Please plan on making visits to our Center a regular habit in 2006.
Experience our blend of Eastern wisdom and Western science, integrating
the highest achievements of two distinct cultures. There's nothing
else quite like it.

Family Practice Evolves
The Bakersfield Wellness Center is a Group Achievement
Part coincidence, part design, and immensely
enjoyable -- that's how I describe running Dr. Shah & Associates as
a family practice. Growing up, my younger brother Dr. Milan Shah and
I would often talk about going into business together. Although we
weren't quite sure what we would do, the idea was always at the back
of our minds.
When Milan decided to go to medical school and get a degree in internal
medicine, it was almost a foregone conclusion that he would join me
in my Bakersfield practice. Our youngest brother, Pavan Shah (now
27) was already looking after the accounts and other administration
issues at Dr. Shah's.
Enter the In-Laws
Also, Milan's and Pavan's wives, Pinkie Shah and Hina Shah, began
running the day-to-day operations of Shaanti Medi Spa two and a half
years ago. Shaanti is our unique retreat where we combine ancient
Eastern wisdom with the latest Western medicine, providing a very
special experience of rejuvenation and beauty therapy.
Thus, the one-man show that began as Dr. Shah's surgery practice just
three and a half years ago rather quickly became a family-run business.
