With more and more people opting for cosmetic surgeries, companies are opening the door to new technology creating new and exciting ways for patients to see what they will look like before the changes ever happen. And that new technology is now available right here in Bakersfield.
Shannon Aaron is the mother of four children. When she made the decision to augment her breasts she had an image of what they would look like. "After four kids they're just not the same any more and I wanted to do something before I got too much older.
Aaron was one of the first patients at Beautologie here in Bakersfield to take advantage of the new axis 3d imaging machine. Patients no longer have to imagine what their breasts will look like after surgery. Dr. Darshan Shah, Cosmetic Surgeon, "This is deffferent from old imaging because it allows us to take pictures from several different angles."
Patients stand in front of a screen that takes images not only from the front but from the top and side. The machine then takes those images and and provides an accurate simulation of the changes and morphs them into the size that the patient requests...an A cup becomes a C cup in a matter of seconds but it's not just another person's breasts it's your own.
Through the machine Dr. Shah showed me how the CC's that I wanted would look on my body. "Many women see actresses on television or models and think that's how I want to look but this helps them make the right decision for their bodies."
Dr. Shah has received national coverage for his work here in Bakersfield and says this new investment is just another way to advance the growing market of cosmetic surgery.
The staff at Beautologie are holding a free workshop on the xs 300 machine if you would like to take part...it's being held on Thursday December 4th at 6pm...all of the information will be on our website.
